Description
We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Fabrication Process Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial design to completion, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD to create and modify 2D and 3D drawings (SolidWorks experience a plus).
- Proficiency in 3D modeling is essential.
- Re-draw existing forms and projects as needed.
- Integrate weld placements and symbols into technical drawings.
- Effectively read and interpret blueprints and work with STEP files.
- Assist with quoting projects, leveraging strong Excel skills.
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of forms to optimize the manufacturing processes and enhance safety
- Utilize ProNest software to program burn tables.
- Perform data entry for fabrication projects and maintain accurate records.
- Responsible for Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for forms and projects.
- Help develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that can be replicated for future locations.
- Participate in project review meetings.
- Collaborate with the Fabrication Shop Manager to verify project details, drawings, and materials.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with both internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties and undertake special projects as directed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing office environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, technology or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work with STEP files.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience using Excel for quoting and data analysis.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
