Job Description :
- Estimation and Analysis :
Evaluate electrical integration requirements for equipment skids based on project specifications and technical drawings.
Estimate material, labor, and other costs associated with electrical components and integration.
Analyze supply chain factors, including lead times and availability of electrical components, to provide accurate and timely estimates.
Apply electrical engineering principles and standards relevant to industrial equipment.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations, including NEC, NFPA 70E, and UL508A standards.
Experience working with and sizing conduit and conductors is a plus.
Proficiency in relevant estimating and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Accubid, or Trimble.
Strong skills in Excel, including tables and formulas.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Acumatica and other project management tools.
Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and integration teams to ensure electrical designs meet project requirements.
Work closely with procurement and project management teams to develop accurate cost estimates.
Work with vendors to evaluate and specify equipment components to meet project needs.
Engage with customers and stakeholders to present estimates, address technical inquiries, and support proposal development.
Ability to conduct on-site evaluations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with installation teams as needed.
Understanding of real-world application and implementation of electrical integration solutions.
Prepare detailed documentation and reports outlining estimated costs, specifications, and project timelines.
Maintain records of project estimates and revisions through Acumatica CRM.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical integration technologies.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Travel Requirements :
Participation in two national industry shows per year to understand market fit and product positioning.
Facility visits to integration facilities in Colorado and South Carolina within the first 90 days to assess facility capacity and establish relationships with key team members.
Qualifications
Requirements :
Relevant education or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, estimating, or a related field.
Experience with industrial electrical estimating, including material and labor costing.
Proficiency in electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while awaiting vendor and customer inputs.
Proficiency in Excel and estimating software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
