Activities Director

Job Summary
The Assisted Living Community Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and quality of life for our residents. This position involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating care services, and fostering a supportive environment for residents and their families. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aging issues, dementia care, and recreational therapy, while demonstrating excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the assisted living facility to ensure high-quality care for residents.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident, including those with dementia or memory care requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to staff in delivering compassionate care and recreational therapy programs.
• Conduct regular assessments of residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs to adjust care plans as necessary.
• Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Organize training sessions for staff on best practices in long-term care and aging issues counseling.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to assisted living facilities.
• Foster a positive community atmosphere by planning engaging activities that promote social interaction among residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or long-term care is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dementia care practices and aging issues counseling is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with residents and their families empathetically.
• Experience in recreational therapy or home community care is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for providing high-quality care and improving the lives of seniors in a supportive environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
