Lindt & Sprngli is an internationally renowned chocolate company with a strong presence in North America. Due to rapid growth, we are seeking a Safety, Health, & Environmental Intern at Lindt & Sprngli (USA) in Stratham, New Hampshire. This intern will contribute to taking our Safety and Environmental programs to the next level, aligned with the company's expansion plans. The role offers hands-on experience with various OSHA and EPA programs, including hazardous communications, lockout/tag out, machine guarding, personal protective equipment, ergonomics, chemical management, air emission accounting, and wastewater treatment.

Our 12-week Lindternship program provides undergraduate and graduate students with practical skills and opportunities to contribute to projects that impact our business. Interns will be paired with a mentor, attend professional development workshops, and participate in networking events to meet team members.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Safety:
- Assist in refining Lindt's Safety Programs.
- Review and update existing Safety procedures for regulatory accuracy and applicability to expanding facilities.
- Conduct department safety inspections.
- Perform Job Safety Analysis on new and existing production equipment.
- Conduct noise measurements to ensure employees wear correct PPE.
- Conduct building air monitoring to ensure indoor air quality.
- Review Departmental chemical usage to assure correct PPE is available and used.
- Perform Ergonomic Analysis on production equipment and office settings.
- Assist in collecting and recording environmental data for permit compliance.
- Perform facility environmental audits to ensure compliance with environmental permits and standards.
- Train department employees on waste chemical management and monitor compliance.
- Monitor chemical waste storage and ensure spill equipment and materials are available.
Experience:
- Prior internship and/or project-focused process and results-oriented positions.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers and MS software.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Must have solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT, NHDES regulations preferred.
- Senior pursuing a degree in EHS field or Engineering/Science.
