Assistant General Manager (Bar Manager Focus)
Location: Lindy’s Landing – Wauconda, IL

- $25/hour base pay for floor management shifts
- $10/hour tips for bartending shifts
- $2,100 annual employer contribution toward medical insurance

About the Role:
Lindy’s Landing is hiring an Assistant General Manager (AGM) with a bar management focus to support our operations and lead our beverage program. This unique role blends leadership responsibilities with front-line service, offering the opportunity to directly impact our guest experience, bar program, and overall team culture.
We're looking for a dynamic hospitality professional with strong beverage knowledge, excellent service standards, and a hands-on leadership style. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, quality, and contributing to the success of a family-owned, guest-loved lakeside restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Bar Program Management:
- Oversee daily bar operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Partner with the GM to create and update seasonal beverage menus
- Manage bar inventory and control costs
- Train, support, and mentor bartenders to maintain consistency and excellence
Team Leadership & Operations:
- Floor manage 2–3 manager shifts/week during peak season (May–Sept), and 1–2/week off-season (Oct–Apr)
- Provide guidance and leadership on the floor, supporting smooth shift execution
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding bartenders when needed
- Execute opening/closing duties, cash handling, and shift reporting
Service Expectations:
- Guaranteed minimum of three tipped shifts per week year round
- Deliver outstanding service and embody Lindy’s hospitality values on every shift
Collaboration & Growth:
- Work with the GM and marketing team on promotions, events, and guest engagement
- Assist in banquet execution and bar integration for private events
Qualifications:
- Prior bar management or leadership experience in a high-volume setting
- Strong beverage knowledge: wine, beer, and craft cocktails
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
