Job Overview:
The Electrical Foreman will oversee and supervise electrical installations and maintenance activities for projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. The foreman will lead a team of electricians and provide guidance to ensure that all electrical systems are installed, repaired, and maintained according to building codes and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electricians on the job site.
- Ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that safety protocols are followed by the team.
- Oversee the timely completion of electrical tasks according to project deadlines.
- Provide on-site training and guidance to junior electricians and apprentices.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure project schedules and deliverables are met.
- Inspect electrical work for compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes.
- Manage inventory and order necessary materials and supplies for the job.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues or malfunctions.
- Ensure proper documentation of work performed, including time sheets, material usage, and change orders.
- Assist with budgeting and estimating for electrical work and materials.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations (NEC, local codes).
- Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to job sites.
- OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automated electrical systems.
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical projects.
- Familiarity with project management software or tools.
- First aid and CPR certifications.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
- Frequent travel to and from job sites.

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
