LineQuest, LLC is currently seeking an experienced underground Midwest Area Manager for full-time opportunities. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel and cover areas in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado & Oklahoma. JOB SUMMARY: In this important role as a Midwest Area Manager, you would be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and providing field supervision for all supervisors, technicians assigned in your defined geographic territory, within the states of Texas, New Mexico, Colorado & Oklahoma. As a Midwest Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring assigned locators, supervisors are completing their assigned tickets by their due dates while maintaining positive employee, client, and public relations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of Line Locating experience required
- Two (2) years of management level experience required
- Effective verbal and listening skills required
- Must have and maintain a clean MVR
- Must have a valid driver license
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows – general computer skills
- Must have Time Management Skills
- Must have flexible work schedule
- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully within the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
- Must have the ability to walk up to two (2) miles a day at least once a week
- Must be able to wear required PPE as assigned
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas
- Must be able to ride in a vehicle up to eight hours to travel to and from job sites
Must be able to work in extreme outdoor weather conditions, in addition to different temperatures and changing weather conditions. This is a full-time salary exempt position which may require longer work hours and some weekends.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Assume a leadership role in overseeing and enforcing adherence to all LineQuest policies
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of strategic plan and business that promotes growth of the business
- Prepares daily operating reports, volume, and other required records
- Work collaboratively with assigned Supervisor(s) regarding work/job sites
- Actively participate in all management meetings, in addition to supervisor safety huddles that are held daily/weekly
- Create a positive work environment with the ultimate goal of zero accidents
- Promote positive attitude, culture change and excellence in your geographic area
- Develop strategic and professional relationships; with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to ensure LineQuest is a well-respected leader in the local community
- Improves reliability and efficiency while reducing risk and striving for operational excellence
- Perform damage investigations as needed
- Develop and mentor area supervisors, ensure they are properly trained in the skills necessary for success at LineQuest, given opportunities for growth
- Must conduct weekly safety meetings with field supervisors/leaders
- Must complete all administrative work required by Regional Area Manager
- Must review and approve exempt employees’ timecards and submit prior to HR deadline
- Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities effectively
- Must be able to understand all safety policies within company
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and always providing exemplary customer service
- Must ensure project worksite(s) are in a safe and environmentally sound condition per DOT, EPA and OSHA requirements
- Must have the ability to handle stressful situations and utilize the Regional Area Manager as needed to help make decisions without causing liability to the company
- Ability to multi-task all functions of the job
- Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
