Shop Technician (2 years automotive experience)

LINE-X of Round Rock is seeking to fill the position of Shop Technician. Ideal candidates must be dependable, hardworking, and take pride in their work. Experience and a good working knowledge of automotive parts and accessories are required to be considered for this position.

This position reports directly to the Shop Manager and the ideal candidate must be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision. The primary responsibility of the Shop Technician is to install a variety of automotive accessories. They will also assist the prep and spraying of LINE-X protective coatings.

Our business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours outside of normal business hours may be occasionally required.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Install a variety of truck accessories, including canopies, toolboxes, bed covers, running boards, grill guards, lift/leveling kits, wheels and tires, etc.
• Prep and spray LINE-X protective coatings as needed.
• Perform equipment and shop preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean shop area.
• Assist the managing of inventory and supplies.
• Follow government and internal safety regulations. PPE is provided.

REQUIRED:

• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and a good driving record.
• Strong work history (including good attendance and good safety record.)
• Experience installing automotive accessories, especially suspension components, and lift/levelling kits.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrates the ability to carry out specified work procedures and follow detailed written instructions to install a variety of accessories.
• Capable of using air tools, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and understanding technical direction.
• Must be self-motivated, a self starter, problem solver, and team player.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must keep work areas clean and clutter free.
• Basic computer skills are required.
