Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and provide performance feedback to a team of direct reports, ensuring optimal productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in daily operations.
- Prepare and analyze daily production and shipping reports, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Lead and coordinate physical inventory audits, including cycle counts, to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures that ensure the accurate tracking and management of stock levels.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding inventory needs, product recalls, and any inventory-related concerns.
- Regularly review inventory reports to identify unused items and recommend actions for surplus, obsolete, or damaged stock.
- Evaluate current inventory systems and controls, providing recommendations for enhancements to improve overall inventory management efficiency.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Inventory Control, Supervisory/Leadership capacity, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to streamline inventory operations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail to identify and resolve inventory-related issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and intermediate computer skills to manage reporting and analysis.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate inventory adjustments and stock levels accurately.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, ranging from -20°F / -25°C in cold storage environments to 100°F / 37°C in dry storage sites, while utilizing company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. (weight may vary based on the facility and job requirements).
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, based on operational needs.
- Comfortable working in environments with fluctuating noise levels, which can be loud at times.
