We are an innovative, YC-backed supersonic jet engine startup, located in San Francisco. We're a new space company, focusing on designing & building a new generation of supersonic engines for the space age. Right now, we're hiring for a strong Electrical Engineer to work onsite with us in SF.
The ideal candidate is passionate about designing electronics for high-reliability applications and has a proven ability to quickly develop new hardware. In this role, you will oversee the entire product life cycle—from initial concept through delivery and operation.
Responsibilities :
Design and develop high-reliability electronics for aircraft on accelerated timelines.
Lead system trades, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, debugging, manufacturing, and testing.
Support hardware through ground testing and flight operations.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to enhance the efficiency and reliability of overall aircraft systems.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
3 years of experience in designing, building, or testing circuit boards or other electronics.
Proven ability to develop new hardware or systems within constrained timelines and resources.
Expertise in sensor signal conditioning circuits, motor inverters / controllers, or actuation systems.
Familiarity with switching power converters, magnetics, solid-state load switches, or analog control loops.
Experience working with digital processors, memory chips, or network switches.
Proficiency in circuit board layout.
Experience in automating hardware development processes (e.g., test scripts for bench testing, automation tools for analysis, etc.).
