Asphalt/Pavement Striper

Job description

We are seeking a talented asphalt striper/pavement marking technician with at least 3 years experience to join our team. Our current staff is friendly and hardworking, with a strong focus to team work. Certain jobs will require overnight travel to complete the work. We work a lot of hours; 45 hours is a short week for us, typically upwards of 50 hours each week (we do pay OT!). This role is essential for ensuring the quality and safety of roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces through precise striping applications.

Job duties:

We do striping, sealcoating, and thermoplastic; at times other crews will need help with these tasks also. The ideal candidate would be cross-trained in all areas. There’s plenty of room for advancement in our small yet growing company. Experience with thermoplastic and/or layout is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time Outside work

Work Location: In person

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Duties

• Operate various heavy equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, graders, and loaders to prepare surfaces for striping.
• Execute utility locating to ensure safe operation around existing underground utilities.
• Prepare asphalt surfaces for striping by paving and ensuring proper adhesion of materials.
• Apply pavement markings using specialized striping equipment with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition, performing routine inspections and minor repairs as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and guidelines.
• Follow project specifications and plans to ensure compliance with local regulations.
