DEFINITION
In partnership with the Head of School (HOS), ensures the effective delivery of mission-aligned curriculum and programming, coordinate student and faculty support, and champion professional development opportunities. Also serve as the school's lead administrator in the Head of School's absence, demonstrating godly leadership, compassion, and wisdom in all areas of school management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support and mentor faculty in creating an educational environment that inspires both wonder and love for learning while modeling humility, service and dedication to excellence.
- Work closely with staff to build relationships with students and families fostering a culture of mutual respect and support that reflects the love of Christ.
- Oversee the daily operations of the school, ensuring alignment with Linfield Christian's vision, mission and collective agreements.
- Oversee and participate in the evaluation and improvement of school policies, procedures, and programs.
- Work collaboratively with the governing board to support the school's mission, strategic goals, and accreditation requirements.
- Works collaboratively with other executive leaders to support Linfield's ongoing growth and commitment to excellence :
o Partners with the Executive Directors of Development and Community Engagement to advance the school's initiatives in philanthropy, marketing, and community engagement.
o Collaborates with the Chief Academic Officer and Principals to further Linfield's academic goals and help to foster instructional development.
Serve as the lead administrator in the Head of School's absence, making strategic decisions in the best interest of students, faculty, and the school community.Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff, modeling a Christ-like example of leadership, service, and integrity.EDUCATION
Master's degree in educational leadership, administration, or related field (preferred).EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience and school / site level administration experience.Proven success in curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and educational leadership.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all school constituents (students, parents, faculty, staff, and board members).Experience with educational innovations, including 21st-century teaching and learning practices.Familiarity with financial oversight and budget management.Commitment to Linfield Christian's collective agreements and educational philosophy.QUALITIES
