Position Overview:
We are looking for a professional to install, configure, and maintain Linux servers while managing containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), automating tasks with Ansible, and ensuring system security, performance, and reliability. This role also involves user and group account management, coordinating backups and monitoring, supporting network configurations, and maintaining detailed system documentation.
Required Skills:
Red Hat Linux experience
Shell scripting skills
Experience writing Ansible playbooks
Experience with VMWare
ServiceNow ticketing experience
Cloud experience with Azure or AWS
Git server experience
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security enhancements using tools like Satellite.
Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Create and maintain "golden" system images.
Install and configure Linux operating systems via Satellite or CD.
Set up and administer container environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
Deploy and manage containers in production environments.
Automate system tasks and builds using Ansible.
Manage and migrate applications into Linux container environments.
Set up and manage user accounts, SUDO access, and group permissions.
Implement security policies to safeguard sensitive data.
Administer security features including SELinux and FireEye.
Configure network settings such as bonding and EtherChannel.
Collaborate with network teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
Coordinate with backup teams to ensure OS-level backups.
Work with monitoring teams to set up alerting and system health checks.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and issue resolutions.
Record and update incident tickets with troubleshooting steps and solutions.
