Mobile Specialist

Location: Columbus, OH
Position Type: Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
Contract Length: 6 months

Position Overview:
The Mobile Specialist will serve as a design system Lead to champion the evolution of the client's design system, ensuring scalable, intuitive, and accessible digital experiences across the enterprise. This role involves leading design system strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of innovation to enhance the state's visual and user experience standards.

Duties:

• Conduct weekly Design Operations meetings to oversee the addition and enhancement of the design system through a structured process. Manage the product roadmap.
• Create interactive prototypes for websites, products, and components, and patterns, and refine designs based on user testing, feedback, and usability data. Continuously iterate on components and patterns to ensure optimal user experiences.
• Guide external designers, promoting our user experience philosophy, guidelines, and best practices for design system components.
• Define design guidelines, patterns, and standards. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Lead discussions, design reviews, and gather feedback from both internal and external teams.
• Advocate for inclusive design practices, ensuring that the system adheres to accessibility standards and meets the needs of diverse users.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience as a UI designer, UX designer, or interaction designer
• 5 years of professional experience working with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, UXPin, AdobeXD, etc.
• Portfolio showcasing user experience and visual design
• 2 years of experience working with design systems
