Position Type: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite
Contract Length: 9 months, with possible extension
Position Overview:
The Solution Architect will develop and integrate application and solution architectures for business needs, capturing system requirements and workflows. Collaborate with IT staff to translate needs into automated solutions and ensure new systems integrate with existing ones. Partner with architects on strategic roadmaps, security patterns, and legacy system guidance.

Position Overview:
The Solution Architect will develop and integrate application and solution architectures for business needs, capturing system requirements and workflows. Collaborate with IT staff to translate needs into automated solutions and ensure new systems integrate with existing ones. Partner with architects on strategic roadmaps, security patterns, and legacy system guidance.
Duties:
- Create overall application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration and implementations for a particular business solution.
- Lead efforts in defining, documenting and estimating the following for enterprise applications.
- Capture requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, on- prem, hybrid and cloud topologies, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, system inputs and output.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to assess business needs and requirements and translate them into automated solutions
- Produce relevant solution design artifacts including but not limited to technical estimates, conceptual, logical and physical system designs, sequence diagrams, and data models
- Coordinate new system development to ensure it is consistent and well integrated with existing application systems and COTS solutions
- Collaborate with Business areas and cross-functional Enterprise Architects to fully understand business needs and provide strategic consultation
- Partner with architects, other technical team members and to develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs
- Design/Implement Enterprise Security/technology Patterns
- Consult with teams as needed on initiatives and provide tactical direction as well as provide architecture considerations on legacy solutions
- 8 years of experience in enterprise-level application design and integration
- 8 years of experience in Azure (cloud-native and hybrid architecture)
- 8 years of experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) architecture
- 8 years of experience with integration architecture and proven work experience with Agile/Scrum teams
- 2 years of experience working with Azure Data factory, Azure Data Lake
- 5 years of experience with Docker and azure cloud services such as AKS, Azure functions, Azure Container Service, Azure App services, Azure API Management
- 5 years of experience with Microservices architecture, Azure architecture, Domain driven architecture
- Experience with Spatial Architecture (ArcGIS specifically)
