In this critical role, you will ensure the smooth operation of the Take Off area, assist with material flow from the oven, and perform tasks necessary to produce high-quality rolls or sheets tailored to customer specifications. You’ll also contribute to the team’s adoption of World Class Manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform start-up and changeover activities in the Take Off area according to production schedules.
- Maintain accurate production tags, roll wrap, cores, and inspection reports.
- Input roll or sheet data into the production data system.
- Monitor material for defects as it moves through the trim saw area.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Execute emergency procedures during power failures.
- Assist Oven Operator during start-up and changeover processes.
- Communicate changes in the Take Off area with Extruder and Oven Operators.
- Perform housekeeping and provide support to team members during shutdowns or changeovers.
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Experience: 2-4 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and follow safety information, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Team-oriented with basic written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to plan, multi-task, and meet objectives.
- Work History: No more than four (4) attendance points and no current disciplinary or performance actions on file.
- The Continuous Lines Department operates 24/7.
- Candidates must be available to work 12-hour shifts, with estimated schedules of 3-5 days per week (36-60 hours/week).
- Shift preferences (day: 7 AM - 7 PM or night: 7 PM - 7 AM) may be indicated.
