Currently we have a Production Technician role open on 2nd shift. The Production Technician provides engineering support for ongoing and new operations by performing the following essential job functions:
- Essential Job Functions
- Designs methods for maintaining or increasing production levels while improving production costs, yields, quality, and safety.
- Develop technical and equipment specifications to support process operational steps.
- Train operators in process/equipment use.
- Evaluate and implement tooling, fixtures and equipment to support process operational steps.
- Troubleshoots process problems and identifies solutions which reduce downtime and conserve maintenance costs.
- Assist Manufacturing in Product troubleshooting within assigned areas of expertise.
- Monitors process equipment to identify potential errors and develops solutions to eliminate the reoccurrence of those problems.
- Designs and conducts plant trials to determine performance capabilities.
- Develops and updates process procedures to ensure that documentation is accurate and understandable.
- Determines the layout of piping, equipment, and utilities for engineering changes.
- Investigate/Initiate Design Engineering change requests. Follow-up on Engineering Order implementation/problems. Design review of new products or major revisions.
- Provides technical information related to cost estimating and cost reduction.
- High School or GED
- Two or four-year technical degree or vocational school preferred
- Four (4) years related experience in welding, with an understanding of Robotic logic and programming.
