Currently we have a FEA Engineer open. As a member of the Engineering team one will design mechanisms, structures and controls for crane products to meet Link-Belt goals of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Environmental.
Essential Job Functions
- Design or redesign component assemblies and parts of new and existing machines
- Service as Design Project Leader and Cross Functional Team Leader when assigned
- Provide status reports as needed
- Generate cost effective designs
- Establish project time estimates
- Write project appropriations
- Write test plans
- Plan and supervise test of new and redesigned products
- Perform a full range of theoretical calculations and select the most appropriate materials
- Be aware of and keep up to date on applicable crane codes and standards (SAE, ISO, PCSA, etc.)
- Be aware of machine field service problems and take corrective action
- Direct and check the work of others on specific projects or sub-projects (drawings, calculations, bill of materials, etc.)
- Provide technical guidance to others inside and outside the department
- Ensure organization and maintenance of machine calculations
