The Safety Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day inspections, documentation, and coordination of our underground Geotechnical and Safety programs. Perform assigned general maintenance services. Time allocation : geotechnical and safety programs - 5% and general maintenance - 15%.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Reports to and works under the Director of Operations.
- Maintain and manage monthly and quarterly geotechnical safety readings through instrumentation and Excel data entry.
- Coordinates safety inspections in all our tenant facilities and common areas on an annual basis. Mapping and documentation of each inspection area is required.
- Perform manual scaling of the ceilings and coordinate with the maintenance staff for assistance as needed.
- Maintain communication and assist with mining consultant when visiting the premises.
- Ability to coordinate and work with Geotechnical project contractors.
- Implement specific safety programs as directed.
- Perform and / or assist with general maintenance assignments as directed.
