Job Description:
As a Freight Forwarder at Link Logistics Inc., you will play a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods across borders domestically, efficiently and effectively.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and managing shipments from origin to destination i.e. bookings, delivery orders, CAD’s etc.
- Liaising with clients, carriers, and customs officials to ensure smooth transit of goods. i.e. online track and trace
- Preparing and processing import and export documentation
- Negotiating freight rates and booking cargo with carriers
- Resolving any issues or delays that may arise during transit
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements
- Familiarity with IMO and IATA Hazardous regulations
Requirements:
- Fully working experience with CargoWise
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in import air/ocean and 3 years air/ocean export operations
- Strong understanding of international shipping processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in excel and word
