Maintenance

JOB PURPOSE

The Level 1 Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment following safety and preventative maintenance systems to support Link’s business goals and objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize production downtime; troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues of production machines.

• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment to maintain equipment

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform regular service on production equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance on production and facilities equipment.

• Complete basic tasks to maintain machines, equipment and facilities.

• Assist in the installation and set-up of capital equipment and changes to facilities infrastructure.

• Identify and initiate continuous improvements within the maintenance and production processes.

• Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides.

• Able to troubleshoot, determine root cause and identify and implement solutions to problems.

• Working knowledge of electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.

• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Work with a sense of urgency to address machine downtime issues.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to fingers in handling, grasping, or feeling objects, tools, or controls for an extended period of time. The employee must be able to occasionally work above the shoulder height and frequently have neck flexion and extension. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit and frequently required to see, talk, and hear.

The employee must occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
