Field Inspector

Position Overview: The Field Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects comply with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical or structural inspections, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field inspections and observe construction activities related to soil, foundations, and earthwork.
• Conduct on-site tests, including soil density, moisture content, and concrete testing.
• Collect samples for laboratory analysis and maintain accurate records of test results.
• Ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues in the field.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Field Inspector or in a similar role within geotechnical or construction inspection.
• Relevant certifications such as ICC Special Inspector, ACI Concrete Field Testing, or Nuclear Gauge Certification.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, construction practices, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with the federal government, including understanding compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
