- Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Business Analyst / Technical Writer to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will help create clear, user-friendly technical documentation such as SOPs, process flows, how-to guides, test cases, and more. This role involves translating complex information into plain language and leading collaboration with subject matter experts and other business analysts. The ideal candidate will ensure documentation aligns with departmental standards and accurately reflects current and modernized taxation processes. Strong leadership, excellent communication, and proficiency with documentation tools are essential.
REQUIREMENTS- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint, including content management and uploads
- Skilled in reading, writing, and proofreading with attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational abilities with strong multitasking capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative, collaborative team player with a customer-focused approach
- Willingness to comply with IRS Publication 1075 requirements
- State-conducted background check is required

- Apply knowledge of taxation's program areas to help define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements under the guidance of the business and functional lead, technical lead, and project managers.
- Lead for the transition to MYNT for Taxation's mailroom optimization project.
- Responsible for technical writing and review of processes for multiple business lines within the department, content management for the Project SharePoint site, and providing guidance to other contract staff.
- Document the processes for both business and technical within the department.
- Help write the test cases for the team and work with the quality analyst in support of the test plan.
- Create business process diagrams and flow charts.
- Evaluating the documentation created for a modernization project and other department projects.
- Rebranding relevant documentation for the project using a team branding template.
- Understanding the functional and technical requirements for the project.
- Understanding the AS-IS business platform and the processes that support the systems within the department.
- Understanding the TO-BE business platform and assisting with development of the new processes.
- Documenting the transition from the AS-IS processes to the TO-BE processes in "plain-language."
- Supporting preparations for modernization and each phase of implementation.
- Organizing and attending various department meetings.
- Review and preparation of content for internal publication and distribution.
- Prepare the requirements traceability matrix with other BPA staff.
- Write test cases that map back to the RTM.
- Conduct discovery meetings with departmental staff.
- Assist team members to document processes and procedures.
- Help manage the standard operating procedures for the project's processes.
