- Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas, NV based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Buyer - F&B to join our team.
QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in procurement or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Stratton Warren inventory system (inputting bids, creating purchase orders) is a plus.
- Ability to perform complex analysis for supplier and material contracts.
- Capable of developing long-range commodity and category plans.
- Experience in streamlining operational procedures and conduct continuous improvement activities.
- Recommend and establish inventory levels and Present project reports to senior management.
- Strong knowledge of financial and cost management, PO and contract management, and spreadsheet analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheets (Excel) is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude when interacting with management, team members, and suppliers under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to work indoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and access all areas of the property.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop comprehensive commodity strategies that documents sourcing approaches, preferred suppliers, cost performance and gaps, quality performance and gaps, logistics solutions and technology roadmaps.
- Excel in supplier and contract negotiations using multiple approaches such as RFP's, market tests, and bid cost models.
- Perform comprehensive analysis to ensure best-in-class souring, pricing, and cost savings based on total cost of ownership.
- Collaborate and grow stakeholder relationships via problem solving and value-add results for the property.
- Summarize sourcing recommendation and be able to convince stakeholders of sourcing recommendation.
- Interface with user departments as the procurement specialist that allows management to make the right procurement decisions.
- Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on prompt shipments at the appropriate quality and cost levels.
- Visit suppliers and/or lead supplier reviews regularly to understand manufacturing processes and new developments.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
