Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a
Developer to join our team.
SUMMARY
This role involves troubleshooting, documenting, testing, and supporting software patches and upgrades. The developer will use the Microsoft Stack for full-stack development to design, implement, and maintain student information systems, custom applications, and single-purpose solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience creating and analyzing stored procedures (MS SQL databases and MS tool suite).
· Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience developing with C#.
· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business and management, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Solid knowledge of third-party integrations with a preference for experience in database migrations.
· Expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
· Proficient in using source control systems such as Azure DevOps.
· Experience with agile development methodologies.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation, training, and team collaboration.
· Exceptional troubleshooting abilities to drive system improvements.
· Proficient in Microsoft .NET full-stack development, including C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL, and SOAP/RESTful web services.
· Deep understanding of development best practices, design principles, system dependencies, and version control.
PREFERRED
· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and SQL Server Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Analyze District functions and requirements, respond to user requests and initiate ideas to improve District activities.
· Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain District application systems, including both custom-built and vendor-purchased solutions.
· Document and maintain application systems for usability, troubleshooting, and future reference.
· Collaborate and communicate with District employees at all levels, including school-based and central staff.
· Provide knowledge transfer to peers and customers on system functionality, decision modeling, troubleshooting, and best practices through various methods such as documentation, training materials, and flowcharts.
· Act as a District representative while working with vendors, contractors, businesses, and governmental agencies.
· Respond to data requests, including reports, downloads, and online displays, negotiating optimal solutions with requestors.
· Proactively anticipate and resolve emergency situations in District application systems.
· Serve as project lead for new Educational Technology-related projects, including design planning, task assignment, development coordination, and issue management.
· Evaluate new software and hardware solutions, making recommendations for management approval based on existing data, available technologies, and resource requirements.
· Train, mentor, and advise peers and users at all levels on system use and technology adoption.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
