- Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our team.
JOB SUMMARYThis role supports the organization's GRC efforts by assessing and managing risks, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, and implementing governance frameworks. This role requires collaboration with different departments to strengthen the organization's risk management and compliance stance.
REQUIREMENTS- High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development, foreign equivalency, etc.), and associate's degree (or two (2) years of college) with a major area of study in business administration, information technology, risk management, or a related field, etc., plus three (3) years of work experience in governance, risk management, and compliance
OR Bachelor's degree with a major area of study in business administration, information technology, risk management, or a related field plus, one (1) year of experience in governance, risk management, and compliance.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a capacity to evaluate complex risk and compliance challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in risk management and compliance tools as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Relevant certifications (e.g., CRISC, CISA, or similar) are a plus.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in governance, risk management, and compliance ideally within a corporate or IT setting.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT).
- Experience with regulatory compliance in sectors such as finance, healthcare, or technology.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on organizational practices.
- Previous experience conducting audits or assessments related to risk and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct risk assessments to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential risks that may impact the organization's operations and objectives.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support the development and maintenance of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure effective risk management and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for governance activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on risk and compliance status to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, compliance activities, and remediation efforts.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs to promote risk management and compliance awareness across the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in GRC to enhance the organization's risk management and compliance capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within GRC operations and recommend effective solutions.
