Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Systems Support Analyst to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
This role will help with systems application support for public safety.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level systems and/or custom software development.
- Providing technical support for software applications.
- Experience with Windows System/Server Administration.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting for Windows.
- Expertise in process mapping and creating Data Flow Diagrams using Visio.
- Strong background in technical writing.
- Familiar with database tools (e.g., Toad, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio).
- Proficient in SQL query languages.
- Experience with network traffic monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Fiddler, Fortinet, Splunk).
- Knowledge of API monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, SoapUI).
- Familiar with FTP applications (e.g., FileZilla, WinSCP, Axway).
- General understanding of Information Security and Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with laptop, desktop, server, and mobile device hardware and operating systems.
- Familiarity with web server software such as IIS, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Knowledge of systems implementation and software development principles and practices.
- Understanding of firewalls, reverse proxies, and secure access to internal applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web application accessibility.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Information technology related certifications, e.g., CompTIA A , CompTIA Security , CompTIA Network , Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator.
- Browser debugger tools (Chrome or IE’s Developer Tools)
- Reporting tools, e.g., Crystal Reports, SSRS – SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Programming languages and development environments such as C#, .NET, Azure DevOps
- Knowledge in SharePoint creation of pages, lists, etc.
DELIVERABLES
- Support project/product implementations for the IT Public Safety Team: o Fire and police applications include: Everbridge, Securus, NetDMS, TeleStaff, FireRMS, Intime, Tableau, custom applications, etc.
- Interacts with and oversees application vendor activities during system implementations.
- Coordinate with customers and other IT divisions on tasks (firewall rules, software and hardware product evaluations, etc.).
- Weekly status reports and timesheets.
- Information security application reviews.
- Upgrade SQL Database servers.
- Application monthly maintenance upgrades and patches.
- Create and update data flow diagrams.
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Create SSRS reports or Power BI reports.
- Migrating custom knowledge base system.
- Other duties as assigned.
