General Responsibilities / Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation and data analysis of financial models managed by the Treasury function, including the interest rate risk model, the liquidity model, and the financial forecast. This position will also assist with the analysis and management of the investment portfolio.
Essential Functions/Duties:

3. Work with the Treasurer to determine and document the model assumptions for the interest rate risk model and the liquidity model.
4. Write and/or run data queries to gather data for input into the models that are the responsibility of the Treasury function within Finance. These include the liquidity model, interest rate risk model, ALCO presentations, and profitability model.
5. Assist Treasurer in updating all Treasury related models periodically (daily, monthly, quarterly), as required. This includes completing written analysis over the various model outputs.
6. Assist Treasurer in monitoring and analyzing our investment portfolio, including investment rationale and updated credit reviews.
7. Update the Early Warning Indicators within the enterprise risk management monitoring software on a quarterly basis.
8. Monitor the development and applicability of emerging market news, economic developments and other regulatory matters regarding financial institutions.
9. Record the minutes of the monthly management ALCO meetings.
10. Complete ad hoc analysis over the bank’s loans, deposits, and other financial instruments, upon request.
11. Assist other finance team members with special projects and ad hoc analysis.
12. Provide documents and requested items to the external auditors and regulatory examiners, as requested.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent education and related training
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with clear direction from supervisor.
- Technical finance knowledge coupled with solid planning and organizational skills
- Prior experience designing, implementing, and documenting policies and procedures—in a SOX environment
- Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail, problem solving and the ability to be proactive.
- Must partner with management team to ensure effective compliance to Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance.
Experience: 0-3 years of corporate finance experience.
Required Certification/Licenses: None.
Education/Training: A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field of study preferred.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to all locations within the bank’s footprint as needed.
