Provide ongoing support for the loan documentation process to ensure that established service levels are met. Utilize Bank systems to accurately prepare multiple types of loan documentation and facilitate loan closings and related activities. Loan Documentation Specialist performs work with less supervision and greater independence.

- Lead communication with our lending and credit teams to ensure consistent application of the Bank’s procedures and processes.
- Support the lending process by producing legal and supporting documentation required for closing, modification, or renewal through timely and accurate input to internal systems, including but not limited to LaserPro and Jack Henry Silverlake Software.
- Manage documentation risk by ensuring documentation is in compliance with credit approval, federal and state regulations, secure a valid lien, and confirm that all pre-closing requirements are satisfied.
- Prepare amended and restated documents for matured lines of credit and modification documents for changes to existing loan terms and collateral.
- Enforce and drive processes and policy around loan documentation for commercial and consumer loans on a bank wide basis.
- Provide clear verbal and written communication to lending officers and their loan administrators and third parties, (e.g., attorneys, insurance agents), as needed.
- Responsible for requesting flood determinations for real estate secured loans, property searches on all consumer loans, good standing searches on legal entities, and any UCC or other searches as may be needed.
- Responsible for reviewing title work, appraisals, and flood for real estate secure loans.
- Review commitment letters and legal entity documents.
- Pre-closing review to ensure the accuracy of loan documentation packages prior to closing.
- Complete post-close review of the settled loan documentation packages to ensure the return and proper execution of all documents.
- Upload completed/reviewed loan documentation packages to Synergy.
- Processes lien entries, UCC-1 forms, UCC continuations, certified mailing of titles, determining filing location, and mailing real property documents to appropriate county/state.
- Responsible for HMDA, CRA, BSA, ECOA, Reg Z, RESPA, and Flood compliance process/reporting for commercial and consumer loans.
- Manage documentation quality to ensure it meets or exceeds Bank’s exception rate goal by identifying required loan documentation for various loan types and pledged collateral, consistently monitor exception activity and provide timely follow-up and clearing of exceptions.
- Assists in monitoring and/or updating the Letter of credit, Brokerage and Stock secured reports.
- Assists in training of new employees to ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures, and the proper use of bank systems.
20. Satisfactorily completes required annual regulatory training.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent education with an emphasis in a business curriculum; specialized bank loan document education/training.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Proficient in use of LaserPro Software preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and/or consumer loan documentation preparation, with additional experience with funding and commercial lending support and/or credit administration support.
Required Certification/Licenses:
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to all locations in the bank’s footprint as needed.

- Manual dexterity for the functional operation of office equipment, computer terminal, and other office equipment.
- Must have visual acuity required to work at a computer terminal.
- Mobility enough to coordinate activities in the department and lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
