General Responsibilities / Job Summary:
The Risk Management Analyst will collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to identify, analyze, and control risks to the company. The analyst is primarily responsible for implementing a variety of key risk department functions, including vendor management, internal audit, and enterprise risk management. The analyst will conduct day-to-day activities and work with the CRO to execute strategy related to the functional areas.
Essential Functions/Duties:

- Conduct vendor risk assessments, due diligence, on-boarding, and periodic oversight and monitoring activities while collaborating with vendor relationship owners and third-party points of contact. Perform due diligence review elements (e.g. financial analysis, reputational monitoring, and operational and control environment reviews) using an appropriate amount of critical thinking and analysis for the risk exposure posed.
- Maintain vendor management records, including due diligence artifacts and risk assessments.
- Assist in the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks associated with outsourcing products and services to third parties.
- Assist in the identification of vendor changes, risk events, and other issues and conduct follow-up activities.
- Perform initial administrative and regulatory review of contracts and other legal documents, such as service level agreements, in coordination with the Legal Department and Chief Risk Officer.
- Help monitor audit plans and comment/finding resolution progress.
- Complete enterprise risk management software entries with modest direction.
- Facilitate and track periodic risk assessments for key bank functions and risks.
- Develop and/or contribute to various department reports.
- Conduct research on a variety of topics and develop summaries as directed.
- Support control evaluation and documentation processes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Comply with applicable banking laws and regulations, including GLBA, BSA, AML, and OFAC.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Experience: 3-5 years risk management, audit, information technology/security, or compliance experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Basic understanding of risk management principles, banking operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Knowledge of applicable rules and regulations as well as regulatory guidance, including the Interagency Guidance on Third Party Relationships: Risk Management or FIL-29-2023
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to conduct analysis and draw conclusions
- Demonstrated sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Experience with MS Office products with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated continuing education in relevant knowledge areas, such as participation in seminars, attendance at conferences, or review of research publications
- Familiarity with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal control frameworks preferred.
- Project management experience preferred.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to all locations in the bank’s footprint and conferences as needed.
Physical and Mental Job Requirements:
