Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Linked Professional Services. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your technical expertise and leadership skills in designing and coordinating electrical systems for utilities, smart grid automation systems, and smart devices.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and preparing distribution voltage packages, including design, installation, and replacement of electrical equipment, feeders, and cables. They will also be involved in designing new business projects, such as line extensions, services, and smart device integration.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders. They will be responsible for leading QA/QC efforts, ensuring compliance with NESC standards, utility standards, guides, specifications, and procedures.
This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs, and will have experience with CAD systems, power system analysis using CYME or ETAP, and load flow and fault studies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare distribution voltage packages for overhead and underground projects
- Design and coordinate electrical equipment installation, feeder replacement, and cable replacement
- Design new business projects, including line extensions, services, and smart device integration
- Lead QA/QC efforts, ensuring compliance with NESC standards and utility standards
- Interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs
- Experience with CAD systems, power system analysis using CYME or ETAP, and load flow and fault studies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Minimum 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience with power system analysis using CYME or ETAP
- Experience with load flow and fault studies
