Productivity Engineering is responsible for Enterprise Business Applications, Cloud and internally developed applications which enable productivity and Business Applications at LinkedIn.

Productivity Engineering Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) at LinkedIn fill the critical role of ensuring that our complex, enterprise business applications are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale. You will use your background as an operations generalist to work closely with our development teams from the early stages of design all the way through identifying and resolving production issues. The ideal candidate will be passionate about an operations role that involves deep knowledge of both the applications and the products and will also believe that automation is a key component to operating large-scale systems.

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to make a real impact on our production and development operations and in managing our database and middleware platforms. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for evaluation and implementation of new database and application use cases, performance tuning, integrating Applications between on-premises and multi-cloud architecture (Azure and other SaaS providers) leveraging re-architecture and transformation, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution across complex application environments.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary point of contact responsible for overseeing the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our financial application services.
• Act as an expert in the services, providing guidance to development teams on the capabilities of Oracle and Azure Cloud services.
• Develop tools to enhance our ability to deploy and monitor Oracle ERP, Vertex, and custom home-grown applications rapidly in both on-premises and multi-cloud environments.
• Ensure that the services are designed to scale effectively with resiliency, performance, and security considerations.
• Assist in the rollout and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate rapid iteration and continual growth.
• Identify and implement innovative and modern platform engineering approaches to complex and legacy applications.
• The individual should be able to look at the big picture in platform engineering and be able to develop a well optimized solution to address business critical needs.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Participate in a 24x7 rotation for second-tier escalations.

The pay range for this role is [$121,000 to $198,000]. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
