Orthopedic Spine Physician Assistant opportunity with both OR and Clinic time.Join a growing practice near New Jersey Shore and only one hour from Manhattan.Great balance of Surgery time and managing patients in the office allows for variety each week.Fast pace and efficiency.
About the Orthopedic Spine Physician Assistant opportunity
- Two days of OR time (7 : 15 start and usually finished by 4pm)(3-4 Spinal Fusions each day is typical)
- Two days in Clinic shared with Surgeons and Physician Assistants
- Fifth day of week is Xray, CT, and MRI reading, lab follow ups, helping Surgeon in clinic, and returning patient calls
- See 15-20 patients in clinic
- Post op follow up exams with X-ray in office, pre-op History and Physical with labs, and discussing plan with patient and families before case
- EMR is Modernizing Medicine in office and EPIC in hospital
- Surgeon takes Trauma call once every 2 months for a week
- No rounding or ER consults
