Position Summary:
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of car wash equipment and systems. This role involves conducting routine maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and performing repairs to minimize equipment downtime. The Engineer plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and customer-friendly wash experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on car wash equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and control systems
- Liaison Car Wash Start-Up Activities between Development & Construction to Operations
- The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues\
- Assistance in increasing car wash location uptime and decrease of car wash downtime through various operational & mechanical facets
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals in needed capacity
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to reduce equipment downtime
- Replace and repair defective parts, using appropriate tools and equipment
- Install and wire new electrical components
- Test and calibrate equipment to meet operational and safety standards
- Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment
- Order replacement parts as needed to support continuous operations
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repair logs
- Report recurring issues to management and propose long-term solutions, including necessary updates or replacements
- Comply with all OSHA regulations, safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, electronics, or a related field preferred
- 2 years of maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, and climb and work from ladders
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Knowledge of car wash operations preferred
- Knowledge in various car wash equipment manufactures
