WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Our Procurement team is looking for a Category Manager to support our Product, Infrastructure, and Technology teams with a strong focus on software, data center, and telecom. This role will report directly to a Principal Category Manager of Procurement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review contracts, agreements, and orders from suppliers for events, demand generation, and corporate communications providers. This includes, but is not limited to, venue hosts, food and beverage providers, lead generation providers, and marketing platform software and SaaS suppliers.
- Develop strategic and collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners.
- Partner with internal stakeholders for vendor sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and contracting to deliver value to the business.
- Interact with stakeholders on proper contracts templates, processes, and policies.
- Create and monitor Purchase Orders in ERP system (Oracle NetSuite).
- Engage Legal team for contract review, as required.
- Identify operational opportunities and recommend improvements and solutions to the team and leadership.
- Assist Accounts Payable to resolve vendor payment issues.
- Respond to vendor management requests from internal/external customers via email and ticketing system (Jira).
- Maintain and manage the contract management system Evisort and ensure that renewal notifications are being managed and acted upon.
- Support other Procurement team members, as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Operations, Business, Accounting/Finance or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement and/or procure-to-pay functions
- Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite administration basics
- Strong understanding of contract drafting and negotiation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in EST hours
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Ability to quickly learn and manage multiple priorities
- Competency with Excel to include creating pivot tables and using common formulas
