Mental Health Associate – New Solutions – Skills Trainer
Mental Health Department (Classification 770)
SEIU Represented Full Time position (37.5 hours/week)Experienced paraprofessional to work with youth and families with significant mental health and behavioral challenges in a county mental health setting, in the community, schools and consumer’s homes. Experience facilitating groups and individual skills training. Case management experience required. Strong communication skills; basic English composition and computer skills necessary for documentation; understanding of basic counseling and assessment, evidence-based practices, case management, outreach, and crisis interventions; documentation including treatment goals. Must be willing to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and possess the ability to be flexible with case and task assignments. Must be timely in completing paperwork and documentation. This position is on the New Solutions Wraparound Team which works collaboratively with youth, families, and community partners to strengthen families; to keep youth in the community, and in school. Travel between work sites including Albany, Lebanon and Sweet Home may be necessary at times.Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in psychology, social work, counseling or closely related behavior science field; or four years of progressive experience in a mental health service program involving general client needs; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license and an acceptable driving record at the time of appointment is required.

Salary : $4,465 - $5,691
