EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Checks and maintains security and safety of residents/participants on a continual basis.Responds to emergency situations that may occur including escape and suicide attempts, drug overdose, intoxicated youth, etc.Physically restrains residents/participants if necessary.Supervises dependent, neglected, or delinquent youth during the late evening and early morning hours (third shift).Awakens residents, supervises showers and dispenses medication as needed.Admits new residents including interviewing youth, parents and officer or caseworker to obtain needed information.Records behavior observations and keeps daily reports and resident's/participant’s personal records.Performs record keeping, statistics and other paperwork as required.Drives van or other designated vehicle to transport program participants.Supervises program activities as required.Performs light maintenance tasks as required.Enforces rules consistently and fairly. Promotes, encourages and supports appropriate behavior.
