Food Runner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff, and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner.
• Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods.
• Ensure that all food items are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Buss tables and assist with resetting them for new guests.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order modifications or special requests.
• Utilize the Aloha POS system for tracking orders and managing guest needs.
• Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others, including cooks and servers, as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
• Knowledge of banquet service is beneficial but not mandatory.
