Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for guest services, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and ensure they feel welcomed.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Escort guests to their tables while providing menus and explaining daily specials.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness of the host/host area and assist in other restaurant duties as needed.
- Utilize POS systems for managing reservations and processing guest information efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service is preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of Aloha POS or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with guests and staff.
