This is your opportunity to join a high-growth startup and make a major impact! Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and build scalable financial processes to support our rapid growth. Reporting to the COO, this role requires deep expertise in optimizing QuickBooks while preparing for a future transition to a more robust ERP system or software suite as we grow. The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-scaling companies with strong omni-channel sales models, managing financial operations across multiple sales channels (DTC, wholesale, and retail).This role will take ownership of financial processes, including accounting, forecasting, reporting, and cash management, with a focus on implementing automated workflows to support seamless operations today and in the future.Why This Role?Ownership & Leadership : Lead the development of scalable financial systems that align with our growth strategy.Future-Focused : Play a key role in optimizing financial systems from QuickBooks to a more comprehensive and complimentary software suite.Dynamic Environment : Work within a rapidly growing omni-channel startup company operating across DTC, wholesale, and retail channels.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations : Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including A / R, A / P, payroll, general ledger, and cash management.System Optimization : Optimize financial workflows in QuickBooks to meet current business needs while utilizing complimentary programs / tech stack creating a small but mighty asset light structure, that is highly effective per our current scope vs. desired scale..Financial Reporting : Produce accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.Forecasting & Cash Flow Management : Develop and maintain robust cash flow forecasting models to support sustainable growth.Omni-Channel Financial Management : Ensure seamless financial operations across DTC, wholesale, and retail channels.Process Automation : Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency across finance operations.Internal Controls & Compliance : Implement strong internal controls to ensure financial accuracy, prevent risks, and maintain compliance with regulations.Audit & Tax Compliance : Oversee audit preparation, tax filings, and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions.Collaboration : Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align financial processes with the company’s growth objectives.QualificationsExperience : 5 years of experience in financial management, ideally within fast-scaling CPG or retail industries.Technical Skills : Expertise in QuickBooks and complimentary software as well as the building out of a tech forward, Shopify / 3PL friendly tech financial tech stack.Omni-Channel Expertise : Proven ability to manage financial operations across multiple channels (DTC, wholesale, and retail).Leadership : Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Forecasting Expertise : Ability to create accurate forecasts and manage cash flow in a high-growth environment.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is preferred.Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to leadership.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive Salary : We offer a competitive base salary.Incentives : Performance-based bonuses and potential equity opportunities.Work Flexibility : Remote work with occasional travel for meetings.Career Growth : Opportunity to develop scalable financial systems and grow within the company.Comprehensive Benefits : Health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and other standard benefits.
