CNC Principal Machinist - PMO Factory - Focus on Swiss Machines Key Duties and Responsibilities: Operate various advanced CNC machines and assist with set-ups of CNC machines. Primary job function will be the operation of Swiss-centered machinery. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings. Recognize machining or manufacturing problems to produce defect free parts while meeting production rates. Accurately perform measurement tasks utilizing measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc. A major area of responsibility for this role will be the set-up and operation of a variety of production machinery to produce close-tolerance precision medical device parts, with an emphasis on verifying and validating new set-ups for production and first piece runs. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Set up advanced CNC machinery such as 4 and 5 axis mills, Swiss machines, Lathes with live-tooling, etc. and operate advanced multi-axis CNC equipment, tools, and accessories for the fabrication and cutting of materials to process component parts. Maintain close tolerance dimensions while producing parts at the rates established for a given operation Perform verification/validation of new set-up programs for new product or pre-production parts. Perform in-process and first piece inspection Complete offset adjustments to multi-axis equipment to ensure product conforms to strict tolerance Provides training and technical training to less experienced employees. Work Experience Requirements: Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in operation CNC production equipment Must be able to read, understand, and interpret G and M codes. Knowledge Requirements: Ability to produce parts at maximum rates with zero defects Ability to optimize processes through continuous improvement efforts Education Requirements: None This position is not eligible for employer-visa sponsorship.
