Factory Manager The Factory Manager must be on top of and follow up on any and all the activities which may impact the responsibilities listed below. The Factory Manager must work efficiently across functional boundaries. They must manage across different functional areas to achieve results irrespective of their functional area of responsibility. They must also be able to manage upwards and outwards to assure effective achievement of the desired. The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing resources, improving operational systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The Factory Manager will oversee the Precision Machining Operations (PMO). Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule attainment. This includes a daily review of customer backorders and regular stock level review. Staffing. This includes management of RRP process and training of staff. Process. All processes to be set using LEAN principles and capable of repeatedly producing products that meet specifications. Management of Productivity Improvement projects utilizing LEAN and Lean Sigma processes. Management of Manufacturing Engineering staff. Management of New Product Introduction projects. Utilize the Conmed 3P process. Financial budgeting and performance. Continuous Improvement. Apply LEAN and Lean Sigma methodology in the pursuit of improving quality and processes. Safety of all employees in the factory. Manage and optimize daily operations to enhance productivity and efficiency. Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals. Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices to enhance quality and efficiency. Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations. Quality of the product: Establish and maintain quality control standards to meet customer expectations. Work closely with other departments (e.g., HR, finance, marketing) to ensure cohesive operations. Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams to achieve common objectives. Prepare reports on operational performance and present findings and solutions to Director of Operations. Work experience requirements: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in manufacturing Minimum 5 years at a management level. Education requirements: Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree preferred Knowledge requirements: Management experience that includes managing direct labor as well as professional staff. Previous experience in CNC machining Experience in different aspects of management including mentoring and multiple instances of performance management. Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, business planning, new product introduction, production / process support, equipment / tool design, cost accounting and supply chain management. Must show strong analytical capability in a technical environment. Strong attention to detail is required. Conceptual understanding is critical to this job. Must be able to show practical knowledge of the use of LEAN Manufacturing methodologies and Supply Chain Management. Physical requirements: Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
