We’re looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our team at Lion Country Safari (LCS) and the Lion Country Safari Conservation and Education Foundation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for crafting compelling, engaging content across major social media platforms, growing our online communities, and aligning our social media efforts with the broader goals and values of the organization.

The ideal candidate is a storyteller at heart—someone who can seamlessly blend creativity, innovation, and immersive experiences into social media content that captivates and engages our audience. You will develop fresh, exciting ideas and content that resonate with our target demographics, inspire action, and increase followers and engagement for both LCS and the Foundation. Key Areas of Focus :

Content Creation and Management :

Onsite work in the park to create engaging content, including images, videos, live sessions, and reels for social platforms.
Develop a consistent content calendar, aligning posts with both LCS and the Foundation's strategic goals.
Ensure all content resonates with the mission of the organization, reflecting conservation efforts and educational outreach.

Community Engagement :

Actively monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and mentions.

Foster positive relationships with audiences by engaging in meaningful conversations and responding in a timely manner.

Build a community around LCS and the Foundation, growing their online presence and reputation.

Strategy and Growth :

Continuously brainstorm new ideas to enhance content, with a focus on creativity and staying current with social media trends.

Develop and execute strategies to increase followers, engagement, and overall reach on social media platforms.

Utilize social media analytics tools to track performance, optimize strategies, and create actionable reports to share progress with stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting :

Regularly assess social media performance using KPIs and analytics tools to ensure the effectiveness of content and campaigns.

Suggest improvements and test new strategies to ensure content is relevant, engaging, and in line with emerging trends.

Passion for Conservation and Education :

The role requires a genuine passion for conservation and educational efforts, with the ability to translate that enthusiasm into compelling social media content.

Aligning content with conservation messaging and educational outreach is a key part of the job.

Requirements :

Skills and Experience Required :

Social Media Savvy : Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts, especially on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X. A strong understanding of what works on each platform is essential.

Creative Content Creation : A portfolio showcasing your ability to create engaging, trend-driven content that encourages interaction and participation.

Videography / Photography : Strong skills in both visual mediums, with the ability to capture compelling photos and videos that tell a story.

Analytics Knowledge : Proficient in using social media analytics tools to track performance and adjust strategies.

Passion for Conservation : A deep interest in conservation and education, which can be communicated through your content.
