POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lion Energy Sanctuary system is a solar energy storage solution designed to provide off-grid or backup power for homes, businesses, or remote locations. The Sanctuary system is part of Lion Energy's line of renewable energy products.
The ESS Field Service Technician will travel out of state to provide technical support to Sanctuary installers and customers, deliver training sessions, and conduct on-site support service calls. While in the office, the technician will provide ongoing technical support to Sanctuary installers and customers through various communication channels, including email, text, and phone. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, electrical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively while working independently in the field. The ideal candidate will be experienced with solar and battery systems and able to assist in resolving technical issues on-site to ensure optimal system operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Travel to various locations out of state to provide on-site technical support and training for Sanctuary installers and customers.
- Conduct service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar and battery systems, ensuring systems are fully operational.
- Train certified Sanctuary installers on proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for solar and energy storage systems.
- Communicate effectively with customers and installers through phone, text, and email to provide troubleshooting assistance and guidance.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions for ongoing support and system improvement.
- Provide feedback to the technical team regarding common issues and potential product improvements.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in using a multimeter for testing electrical components and systems.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Ability to create clear, well-worded emails and communicate effectively with customers and installers.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while traveling and managing multiple service calls.
- Experience with solar systems and battery systems preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to train and educate others effectively.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and flexible hours to accommodate out-of-state service calls.
DESIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in technical support or a similar role, focusing on troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Experience with solar systems preferred.
- Experience with battery systems preferred.
- Previous electrical experience is preferred.
WORKING HOURS:
- Full-time position with frequent travel for out-of-state service calls and training sessions. Travel may require extended hours or overnight stays.
- Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate urgent service needs or customer requests.
