Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary:
The LION Group seeks a skilled Quality Control Specialist to inspect workmanship of protective garments and accessories for defects in cutting, sewing, and finishing. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to make sound judgments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection and Quality Control:

• Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
• Use measuring tools and equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to evaluate quality.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Record inspection results and maintain detailed reports of findings.
• Document any quality issues or discrepancies.

1. Compliance and Standards:

• Evaluate products against company standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications.
• Review and understand quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and best practices.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on quality standards and industry developments.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to multitask and meet production goals.
• Able to read a ruler.
• Good attendance record.

Physical Requirements:

• Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds.
• Moderate Carrying: Physically carrying items weighing 15 to 44 pounds.
• Usage of Hands: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers.
• Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
• Light Lifting: Raising objects under 15 pounds.
• Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Standing: Eight-ten hours at a time.
• Visual Requirements: Ability to read computer screen and job cards.
