About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Technician to join our team. The IAQ Technician will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and improving indoor air quality in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, air quality testing procedures, and remediation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, assessments, and tests to evaluate indoor air quality, including identifying pollutants, allergens, and other contaminants.
- Diagnose issues related to HVAC systems, ventilation, and humidity levels that impact air quality.
- Collect and analyze air samples to detect the presence of mold, bacteria, asbestos, and other hazardous materials.
- Develop and implement remediation plans to address air quality concerns, including mold removal, duct cleaning, and air filtration system upgrades.
- Install and maintain air purification systems, such as HEPA filters, UV light systems, and dehumidifiers.
- Provide clients with detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and remediation steps.
- Educate clients on proper maintenance practices to sustain improved air quality.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to indoor air quality and environmental safety.
- Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and services performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in indoor air quality, HVAC, or environmental testing.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, building ventilation, and air purification technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ASHRAE, EPA guidelines, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate specialized air quality monitoring and testing equipment.
- Valid driver’s license

Compensation: Starting at $20/hour scaling up depending on experience. Pay can increase if you are willing to work weekends!
