About the Role
A dedicated and experienced Education Resource Specialist (RN) is needed to join the Abdominal (Kidney) Transplant Unit . This position plays a key role in developing and implementing training programs that enhance patient care and professional education for transplant coordinators and clinical staff.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead educational initiatives, ensure compliance with transplant guidelines, and provide hands-on clinical training in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Kidney Transplant Coordinator Experience is REQUIRED. Candidates without direct kidney transplant experience will not be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and deliver educational programs for transplant staff across inpatient and outpatient settings, including the ICU and acute care units .
Support transplant coordinators and clinical staff by providing advanced training, orientation, and ongoing professional development.
Ensure compliance with OPTN and CSM guidelines , integrating best practices into training programs.
Provide clinical education and support for the SICU and outpatient transplant units.
Participate in classroom-based training programs , working closely with leadership to maintain high standards of patient care and education .
Must-Have Qualifications :
Active RN Texas License or Multi-State Compact RN License (Must be clear of disciplinary actions or stipulations).
Master’s Degree (Education preferred) BLS Certification .
Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience .
3 years of Kidney Transplant Coordinator experience (Non-negotiable; other specialties will not be considered).
At least 1 year of supervisory experience .
Consistent work history with accurate job dates and unit experience documented.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications :
Certification as a Transplant Coordinator (Highly Preferred).
Experience with Epic, OPTN, and CSM guidelines .
Strong communication and leadership skills .
Open discussion on preferred shifts and locations to ensure long-term role satisfaction.
