Position: Director of Dining Services (Senior Living)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Dining Services to oversee the dining operations for our senior living community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, food service, and nutrition, as well as a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive dining program that meets the dietary needs and preferences of our senior residents
- Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Manage and mentor a team of dining service staff, including chefs, cooks, servers, and dietary aids
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create menus that are both nutritionally balanced and appealing to our residents
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of food and supplies, while maintaining budgetary guidelines
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and dietary restrictions
- Foster a positive and inclusive dining environment that promotes social interaction and community engagement
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the overall dining experience for our residents
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families, and solicit feedback to continuously improve the dining program
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, nutrition, or related field
- 5 years of experience in a senior dining or hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of dietary and nutritional requirements for seniors
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Proven track record of creating and implementing successful dining programs
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve common goals
