Essential Responsibilities:
The Accountant is responsible for the planning and implementation of all accounting activities, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, payroll, general ledger, monthly non-profit financial reporting and analysis, cash management and reconciliations, budgeting, annual CPA audit/review, taxes, and the 401k retirement Plan. Works with clinical staff, customers, vendors, and external providers of payroll, 401k Administration, and other services. Delivers exemplary service and strives to exceed expectations. Manages sensitive information in a confidential and ethical manner.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of five-years full charge accounting experience through financial statement preparation and analysis; auditing a plus
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and pass pre-interview screening
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines
- Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and meticulous organization and documentation abilities
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and other applications)
Hiring Requirements:
- Personal support of organ, tissue, and cornea donation
- Ability to legally work in this country and provide current forms of identification as required by Form I-9
- Ability to pass mandatory pre-employment background check and drug screen
