Lions Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Control Manager with Safety Manager Responsibilities to oversee and ensure the highest level of quality standards and safety protocols across our operations. This individual will be responsible for managing the quality control processes, implementing safety policies, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and safety regulations. The ideal candidate must be a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and possess a thorough understanding of quality systems, as well as the ability to lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Responsibilities:

  • Will directly participate in the daily work by using hands-on methods to fulfill the duties for this specific role. The expectation is for this position to lead as well as directly perform work also to fulfill the responsibilities of this department.
  • Supervise employees within the Quality Control Department including hiring, training, job duty assignments, performance management, and management of work hours.
  • Draft, edit, and communicate updates and changes as they apply to all departmental policies, objectives, and goals related to the Quality Control and Safety functions within LSI to ensure the effective production of quality products.
  • Manage and update the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure effective functionality and that information is organized, accessible, and in compliance with ISO 9001 standards as well staying current with industry norms.
  • Conduct annual Management Review and report effectiveness to Management.
  • Collect and evaluate production samples, ensuring that materials and products meet acceptable quality and integrity standards. Communicate with production vendors as appropriate.
  • Manage the internal audit processes and schedules.
  • Responsible for ensuring complete and accurate material traceability documentation is retained.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for the manufacturing and QC processes of finished goods. Maintain records of test results, nonconformances, and other key metrics related to quality control.
  • Monitor and periodically reports on production quality, nonconformance, trends, and underlying causes of defects in products or processes.
  • Responsible for maintenance and completion of end item product inspection in accordance with customer contracts.
  • Coordinate measurement/weight instrument calibration verification through periodic certification.
  • Partner with the Production department to identify and train team members to prevent errors and improve quality. Ceases production when serious product defects or risks arise.
  • Coordinate QAR visits/facility surveys and First Article submissions.
  • Escort and meet with inspectors and customers as required.
  • Brief Management on the progress of our Quality Management System.

Safety Management Responsibilities:

  • Act as leader for LSI and ensure enforcement, compliance with state and federal OSHA standards and regulations are met including annual compliance postings and reporting.
  • Serve as a leader to employer groups and individual employees and committees on safety and health; makes and receives recommendations on policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the annual department budget as directed by the immediate Manager.
  • Schedule and document the times of quarterly safety drills.
  • Schedule and lead safety meetings on a quarterly or as needed basis.
  • Participate in meetings and represent LSI in the applicable capacity as needed.
  • Provide ongoing safety training to employees to ensure safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Develop and execute corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Lead investigations into safety incidents or accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, and train the quality control and safety teams to ensure adherence to all relevant procedures and policies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality and safety performance, including key metrics, audit results, and improvement plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Business related travel is /- 5%.

  • Bachelors degree in related industrial, scientific, or business field required;
  • Must hold a current ISO 9001 Certification
  • At least three years of related experience in a manufacturing and production environment required.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety excellence.
